Der Corona Gorda ist fest gerollt mit einem grob adrig öligem Habano Rosado/Criollo Deckblatt, hervorragendem Brandverhalten mit messerscharfe ring, marmorfarbige Asche, dezent würzige Duft. Der Nicaraguaner ist mittelkräftig mit eine zedern-würzige Kern, das Komplexe Aroma/Geschmack zeigt dunklem Schokolade, Zedern, Kaffee, Röstaromen begleitet von sehr dezente Pfeffer tonen, harmonische Aufbau nach eine finale mit erde, zedern und Röstwürzige Anteilen. Der Emirentes ist vielschichtig, sehr gut balanciert und eine Freude zu Rauchen.

Some earthiness and leather can be found following way back. Promising first third. Second third is a more rounded and even sum of all the tastes mentioned earlier. Closing the final second the cigar suddenly gets lost in the game. And third is a mere reflection of its glory moments. Very sad ending. Did not quite found a way to really master its potential and instead left everything a bit short. Should and could have been better but underscored and positioned some where in the average league. Not a bad cigar cigar but with this price tag should have been better. Maturing did some good to it and company it with a drink makes this a even better. Scoring best from appearances and lowest from taste performance. Have a try, some might enjoy this not so offensive type cigar.

Meh. I was expecting more from a well established brand. About 90 minutes of smoking. It is well done. The label and cover makes it look cool and all, but it has more talking of the talk than walking of the walk. For the price it is a 7.5/10. Spicy, toasty, hay, wood. All there, but the mix is nothing special. All in all it feels like a beautiful bird that....cannot fly. I will try other My Father cigars for sure, but this I don't think so. Could I recommend it? Not really. Peace and love!

Eine der besten Zigarren, welche, meiner Meinung nach, jemals geschaffen wurde. Wunderschöne Anilla und tolle Zedernholzhülle. Fantastisches und elegantes Format sowie sehr schön ebenes Abbrandverhalten mit optimalem Zug. Typisch für Pepin startet die „My Father Classic Cedros Eminentes“ mit viel schwarzem Pfeffer und Nuss. Der Pfeffer verschwindet nach dem ersten Viertel/Drittel. Nuss, Creme und etwas Erde bleiben bis zum Ende und kombinieren sich zu einer perfekten Harmonie. Im letzten Viertel kommt aus dem Nichts ein total interessantes und leckeres Aroma von Erdnuss, welches auch Stunden später noch im Mund bleibt. Bis zum Schluss (2-3cm) wird sie nie bitter, faulig oder Ammoniak-lastig. Ein Meisterwerk, kreiert von Jaime Garcia für seiner Vater Don Pepin und der Beginn einer Geschichte sowie Marke voller Tradition, Hingabe und wundervoller Handwerkskunst.

0/2 Stück. 10 Tage im Humidor. Optik einwandfrei. Zug und Brandannahme exzellent. Einstieg medium to fullbody. Kräftig würzig, aber Pfeffer nur leicht im Hintergrund/Finish. Sehr erdiger Smoke mit viel starkem Kaffee. Rauch ist mit Ecken und Kanten, Cremigkeit ist hier kein Thema. Vor allem im Retrohale kitzelt es recht ordentlich in der Nase. Damit fällt sie im ersten Drittel ziemlich gut in mein Beuteschema. Nach einigen milderen (ja, die gibt es) Vertretern bei My Father, dieses Exemplar wieder auf der kräftigeren Seite. Pfeffer hält sich aber immer noch zurück. Bin gespannt auf das zweite und letzte Drittel. Hier hatten meine Vorredner ja durchaus Kritik geäußert. Nach 25 Minuten pusht sie noch mehr in Richtung Fullbody. Kaffee wechselt sich mit Nüssen ab. Sie versucht sich sogar mit mäßigem Erfolg an cremigen Ansätzen. Zweites Drittel etwas süßer, Kaffee dominiert aber auch hier, kraftvoll bleibt sie trotzdem. Im letzten Drittel etwas mehr, generischer Tabakgeschmack und damit etwas schwächer. Mit 11 € nicht günstig, 90 Min. für das recht kompakte Format aber sehr solide. 8/10. 2. Exemplar 10 Monate im Humidor. Etwas runder beim Einstieg als das erste Exemplar. Hält aber nicht lange an. Definitiv ein... rustikaler Vertreter der My Father Serien. Aromatechnisch zumindest, Konstruktion/Abbrand einwandfrei.
