Victor Calvo Calibre

Victor Calvo cigars are still relatively unknown to many in Germany. The family has been producing cigars since 1996 at the Tabacalera Tambor de Costa Rica. From there, they moved to Estelí, Nicaragua, in 2001 and opened their own factory. Initially, they produced exclusively for other brands; since 2013, they have also been offering and distributing their own cigars under the family name. Since August 2019, the Victor Calvo cigars have been imported and distributed by our colleague Sebastian Gollas from Berlin.

Victor Calvo Cigars: Outstanding Value with an International Tobacco Blend

The cigars presented here are interestingly rolled with a filler made of Nicaraguan and Philippine tobaccos. The binder is a Besuki from Indonesia, as is the wrapper. The only difference: the Maduro versions come with a dark wrapper, while the Natural versions feature a lighter one. All vitolas are quite thick, each with a ring gauge of at least 60. Considering their size and volume, the formats are exceptionally affordable and true value-for-money cigars.
