Silencio Series M
These cigars are truly something special – both because of their origin and the limited quantities available. Only 50,000 of these cigars were produced per format – and that actually happened in Miami, USA! Anyone who has ever walked through Miami’s Cuban district and along the famous Calle Ocho (8th Street) has likely passed the small but world-renowned cigar factory El Titan de Bronze. Not only are their own cigars rolled here in very small batches, but also limited editions for brands such as La Palina Zigarren. The main reason why cigars made here are so rarely found on the German market is that a 28% customs duty applies to all cigars shipped from the USA. This has nothing to do with President Trump’s 2025 tariff moves – it has in fact always been this way.
Silencio Serie M Cigars: Limited Handcrafted Cigars from Miami
Silencio cigars are sold in the USA under a famous yellow-and-black Cuban brand name with the additional label Red Dot – hence the red dot inside the letter O at the end of the name. The Cuban brand cannot be named, as protected designation of origin laws restrict the use of the name to products actually made on the island. It just occurred to me that Serie M probably stands for Miami – the other Silencio series are named only by colors.
El Titan de Bronze: The Famous Cigar Factory on Calle Ocho
The Serie M Double Robusto is crafted by the experienced torcedores at Tabacalera El Titan de Bronze using a Corojo wrapper and a binder from Nicaragua. The filler blend combines Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos for a bold, flavorful profile. Each cigar is rolled in the traditional entubado style, where each filler leaf is rolled into its own tube, creating an individual smoke channel. The cigar also features two binder leaves, a triple cap at the head, and the characteristic pigtail cap – referred to here as a fan-tail due to its slightly flattened shape. The Serie M Double Robusto is an impressive example of skilled craftsmanship – but it does come at a price.
