Silencio Los Rios
When describing these cigars, one could once again go into greater detail. However, trademark considerations must also be kept in mind to avoid finding an expensive letter from a well-known and feared law firm in the cigar industry in your mailbox.
Silencio Los Rios: The Mild Elegance from Ecuador
The appearance of this cigar series with the famous “Red Dot” will certainly be familiar to some cigar aficionados from visits to the USA. There, they are sold under the name of arguably the world’s most famous cigar brand featuring the silhouette of the iconic Indian head. This would not be possible in Germany, however, as the use of well-known Cuban cigar brand names is only permitted here for products that are actually manufactured on the island. As a result, the Dominican Cohiba Red Dot cigars are sold in Germany under the name Silencio Red Dot cigars. The brand owner General Cigars is a subsidiary of the Danish tobacco giant STG (Scandinavian Tobacco Group) and holds the trademark rights to many “original” Cuban cigar brands, whose trademarks are not recognized in the USA due to the embargo. In Germany, STG is also well known for brands such as Macanudo or Balmoral.
Enjoyable Journey of Discovery with Silencio Los Rios Cigars
The Silencio Los Rios cigars presented here are rolled with a Connecticut Shade wrapper and are the mildest representatives of this premium brand. The name refers to the Los Rios region, a province in Ecuador known for its volcanic, mineral-rich soils. The STG team worked there with local farmers to develop an exceptional Connecticut Shade wrapper. The binder is a Mexican San Andres, and the filler blend consists of the following tobaccos:
- Mata Fina from Brazil
- Olor from the Dominican Republic
- Piloto from the Dominican Republic
- Jalapa from Nicaragua
The blend was created with the intention of producing a smooth and creamy, easily approachable premium cigar. Additional notes of cocoa and nuts make this creation especially popular among beginners as well. We now carry numerous different variants of Silencio cigars.
