Silencio Riviera

The Silencio Riviera with its unusual purple cigar band offers cigar aficionados the opportunity to enjoy powerful aromas in an elegant format. This series is ideal for connoisseurs who appreciate medium-bodied to full-bodied cigars that impress both in flavor and craftsmanship. Featuring a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, a Honduran binder, and a refined filler made from four different tobaccos from Honduras and Nicaragua, the Silencio Riviera cigars deliver a harmonious smoking experience with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, leather, and a hint of cream on the finish. We found the elegant Lancero particularly interesting, a format that (unfortunately) rarely finds its way into the standard lineup of cigar series.

Origin and Special Features of the Silencio Riviera

Although the Riviera is offered in the United States under the name C...., these cigars cannot be sold under this name in Germany due to trademark protection of Cuban products. They are produced at STG Esteli in Nicaragua, unlike the other Silencio lines of General Cigar Co. This line marks the first box-pressed Silencio variant with a Mexican wrapper and completely forgoes Dominican tobacco – a remarkable step that distinguishes the Silencio Riviera from other series of this brand.

Further Series and Flavor Experiences

In Germany, several other Silencio cigars are also available. On the German market, the parent company of General Cigar, the Scandinavian tobacco group STG, focuses on the Silencio Blue and the white Silencio Los Rios cigars, whereas the Red and Black are expected to be discontinued in the medium term. STG also includes the industry leader Cigars International in the online segment. The Danish group is also the owner of successful brands such as Macanudo, CAO cigars, and Balmoral.
