DTM, or "Dan Tobacco", from the idyllic town of Lauenburg on the Elbe, is a small but very fine pipe tobacco manufacturer in northern Germany with typical character and distinction. It is known above all for its aromatic, fragrant tobaccos with very high tobacco quality and clean burning. A classic of this house is especially the "S.V.H." (formerly Sweet Vanilla Honeydew), which, unlike all other vanilla-flavoured tobaccos, is not made from Black Cavendish, but from a high-quality golden-yellow Ready-Rubbed Virginia. It tastes and smells simply amazing, but does not deny its tobacco base. You have to try it! The "Blue Note" has also been a staple in the portfolio for decades. Some say it has the most fantastic room aroma of all. It alternates between vanilla and fruity and after the first pipe makes you want to have a second one. The "Wappen von Hamburg" is one of the oldest tobaccos in the manufactory and is a real speciality. Black Cavendish and Virginia is provided with a light, hard to define flavouring. The natural aroma dominates in the smoke, the fruity notes resonate only slightly. A great tobacco for the whole day.
