Villiger San Doro Maduro

These San Doro Maduro cigars, manufactured in Brazil, are part of a very exclusive and high-quality new brand family introduced by Villiger at the IPCPR in New Orleans in the summer of 2015. In September 2015, the three different variants also made their way to the Inter Tabac in Dortmund, crossing the pond.

The name derives from the Latin term "indorum sana sancta," which means "healing, sacred plant from India." When you know that Christopher Columbus believed he was searching for a western route to India, the story becomes complete. All the tobaccos used for this cigar come from Brazil. The wrapper is a Mata Fina, and the binder is a Mata Norte. Both growing regions contribute tobaccos to the filler.

We received the first samples at the tobacco fair in the USA from the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Gütermann, and were quite impressed. On the other hand, €14 for a Brazilian cigar is certainly a proud price. Nevertheless, Heinrich Villiger knows what he is doing, and in our opinion, cigars from Brazil are generally undervalued. This long filler, with its mild sweetness and medium-bodied, spicy Brazilian flavor, is definitely capable of surprising you.

Packed in solid 20-count wooden boxes, initially only one vitola is available, a Toro with the classic ring gauge of 52 and a length of almost 6 inches. It is distributed in Germany by the distributor in a very selective manner.
