The name “Angel’s Share” comes from the world of wine: during barrel aging, a portion of the contents evaporates – the part said to be claimed by the angels. Adding to this symbolism is the fact that in 2012, a fire in the family’s aging warehouses destroyed a large stock of well-aged, rare tobaccos originally intended for this line. In that sense, it truly was a “share for the angels,” as countless bales of tobacco went up in smoke – literally reserved for the heavens. Only very small quantities were produced in 2012 and 2014. The cigars presented here were made more than a decade later and only reached us in summer 2025.
