Ashton Heritage Puro Sol

The exceptional Ashton Heritage Puro Sol cigars are somewhat atypical for Ashton, as they are crafted with a Sun Grown wrapper from Ecuador. As the name suggests, this leaf is sun-ripened, making it darker, more rustic, and at the same time, more aromatic. The binder and filler tobaccos, as usual, come from the Dominican Republic and have also grown under direct sunlight. It is from this fact that this line of cigars derives its name, "Puro Sol."

In terms of flavor, the Heritage Ashtons lean towards caramel and almond notes. Ranking as number 10 on the list of the world's best cigars of a given year, these cigars impressed the Cigar Aficionado jury and were described as a "flavorful" smoke with robust "leather and coffee notes," accompanied by a chocolaty sweetness.
