AVO Limited Editions

During his lifetime, Avo Uvezian released a limited edition almost every year. Most of the time, it was more or less milestone birthdays that provided a reason to celebrate. He was born in 1926 and grew up in a Beirut family of musicians with Armenian roots. He passed away on March 24, 2017, at the age of 91. He was a globally renowned figure in jazz, and in the 1980s he began creating his own cigars together with Oettinger/Davidoff.

AVO Limited Editions: Exclusive Cigars for Special Birthdays

After meeting Hendrik Kelner, the then “contract manufacturer” of Davidoff in the Dominican Republic, in 1982, he had his own cigars produced by him in the mid-1980s. In the mid-1990s, he sold his brand to the Swiss holding company Davidoff/Oettinger, which has since distributed all cigars of this brand. After Hendrik Kelner (the producer) also sold his business to the Davidoff group, Davidoff/Oettinger now essentially produces Avo cigars itself. In this category, we have grouped together all AVO Limited Editions for the sake of simplicity.
