Carlos André Airborne (Cigars)

This is the second series under the “umbrella” of Carlos André. In the early 2010s, the “black” Carlos André Family Reserve was first launched, which was eventually complemented in summer 2018 by this “red” version. The brand was conceived by Axel-Georg André, owner of the cigar manufacturer Arnold André in Bünde, Westphalia, as a proprietary brand and “proof of cigar expertise.” Since 2015, the renowned cigar manufacturer and importer has been producing longfiller cigars in its own factory, Arnold André Dominicana, and aims to demonstrate that it can produce exclusive and perfectly crafted cigars itself! Incidentally, the name was inspired by the youngest son of the company owner. This makes these cigars a conceptual “bridge” to the next—and thus eighth—generation of the André family in the cigar business.

Carlos André Airborne: A Homage to the Art of Cigar Making

The Airborne cigars are just as finely and harmoniously blended as their milder sisters, but with noticeably more spice and a corresponding “kick.” This is achieved, among other things, through a reddish-brown H 2000 wrapper from Mexico that has been aged for over five years. The binder comes from Nicaragua, and the filler blend is an exciting mix of Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Brazilian tobaccos. The spicy and slightly sweet aroma produced by the Airborne develops into notes of ripe fruits, nuts, and dark chocolate for the aficionado.

The Fascinating Flavor World of the Carlos André Airborne Series

The name comes from aviation and was chosen as a homage to the moment of “letting go” that occurs when you light the right cigar at the right time and, as if on a cloud of smoke, relax and “take off” to let your thoughts drift toward new horizons.
