DBL Maduro

The abbreviation DBL stands for Dominican Big Leaguer—a nod to baseball and at the same time to the big ambitions of Francisco Almonte. The man behind the brand is a true veteran of the Dominican tobacco scene, having been involved early on with Arturo Fuente and La Flor Dominicana. Since 2013, he has been rolling cigars under his own name that stand out not only for their quality but also for their individuality.

DBL Maduro Series: San Andres Wrapper Adds Sweet Depth to the Smoke

A great example of this is the DBL Maduro series. The San Andres Maduro wrapper from Mexico gives these cigars a natural sweetness and a rich, savory depth. It’s complemented by a Dominican binder and a filler blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos. The result: a medium- to full-bodied smoke that shines both in the afternoon and evening. By the way, the Maduro line is a tribute to Dominican baseball stars in Major League Baseball.
