When Helmut Bührle, founder of Laura Chavin Cigars and Accessories, creates a cigar, it is always an innovation. The Terre de Mythe is the result of years of searching for the best raw materials that can be given to a cigar. "From the beginning, it should be a cigar whose taste volume evokes memories of the once mythical great compositions," recalls the cigar virtuoso. The beginning was seven years ago. Bührle focused his search on seeds of the highest purity that correspond to the quality of tobacco 30 years ago. Today, it is more than just a rarity.

Exclusively for the latest creation, a plantation was established on a "terroir" with abundant Caribbean sun, secured mineral and moisture supply. A piece of land that unites all elements of the mythical power of the soil. Thus, a name was born: Terre de Mythe.

After five months of growth, the leaves ferment five times instead of the usual two. The perfect raw material is entrusted only to the very best torcedores with at least ten years of experience. Only they master the special rolling technique to ensure the perfect flavor development and optimal burning behavior of each Terre de Mythe.

After leaving the factory, the unique cigars continue to mature. And because Bührle is reluctant to part with important things, he further ages the Brown Gold in his own cellar for several more months. The over 300-year-old vault in the 18th-century hunting lodge, enhanced with the finest climate technology, is good enough for that. As the finished brown gems slide through one's fingers, the many innovations are not apparent, only a perfect Laura Chavin cigar, whose oily wrapper shimmers in a silky matte Colorado Maduro, hinting at a perfect balance.

Each individual piece emits a dense tobacco aroma. When smoking, the Terre de Mythe is full-bodied but not overpowering. Sweet but not heavy. Dense but not burdensome to the body.
