PDR Capa Oscura

These cigars were originally a limited production known as the Holiday Blend. The demand eventually became so high that Abe Flores, the owner and founder of PDR Cigars, transitioned them into a permanent production.
It is a Dominican Puro, which means both the filler tobaccos and the binder and wrapper all come from the same country. The highlight of this blend is the very dark and oily Oscuro wrapper. According to Abe, it's one of the most beautiful and succulent wrappers he has ever seen. Therefore, he also decided to use a pigtail at the head and to roll the wrapper at the foot of the cigar in a way that it's completely sealed. Lighting up this cigar becomes a highlight, a true ceremony!
The filler tobaccos and binder were also chosen to make the blend rich, burn slowly, and produce a generous amount of smoke. The filler is made up of Dominican Criollo and Criollo 98. Abe uses a Dominican Sun Grown wrapper. Overall, this cigar is medium to full-bodied, making it fuller than its black sister series, Capa Madura C.
The PDR Cigar Factory has received a lot of attention in the cigar industry lately. They roll cigars for La Palina and Gurkha, among others. Additionally, they also produce the new vitolas of the DR4 and Ceniza de Plata series from Kristoff Galerones, which have been well received in the German market as well.
Packaged in high-quality 20-count wooden boxes, the presentation of the series is quite premium. The bright red boxes with silver printing are easily recognizable in any humidor room!
