Samana Cigars

This cigar brand is named after the peninsula in the northeastern part of the Hispaniola island, which is shared by the Dominican Republic and Haiti. The filler blend consists of four different Olor and Piloto tobaccos, with three being native to the Dominican Republic and one coming from Honduras. The binder is also from the Dominican Republic, while the wrapper is a US Connecticut Shade Claro.

With its fine, very mild flavor, the Samana is a well-known and popular cigar that is perfect for beginners and slightly more experienced aficionados. Due to its long presence in the German market, it has somewhat faded from the awareness of many aficionados, simply because so many new and "cool" cigar brands have been introduced.

We are very familiar with the manufacturer of these cigars, the German Oskar Nausch, and his Tabacalera Don Esteban. We have been working with him on other projects for over 10 years. His Tabacalera may be small, but perhaps that is why it is very conscientious and precise. The cigars from this Tabacalera are imported by the distributor Don Stefano from Wettenberg, Hesse. Don Stefano also carries Perdomo cigars and products from Abe Flores' PDR Cigars from Tamboril in their lineup, among others.
