Samana Special Edition

We've simply labeled the cigars presented here as the Samana Special Edition, as they don't quite fit into the “classic” lines of Samana Zigarren. These are individual vitolas, each created for a specific occasion and featuring a distinctly different appearance. Still, each of these Dominican cigars is a tribute to Caribbean craftsmanship and the deep sense of tradition that has shaped this brand for decades. Every one of these limited cigars is made from specially aged tobaccos and produced only in small batches. The result is a range of smooth and aromatic premium cigars defined by a balanced interplay of sweetness, wood, and subtle spice—ideal for aficionados seeking a calm, well-rounded cigar with character.

Exclusive Tobaccos – Hand-Selected for the Limited Edition

For this special edition, Master Blender Oskar Nausch, now working alongside his son Adrian, uses select tobaccos from the Tabacalera Don Esteban, which are fermented and processed by hand in the Dominican Republic. The editions are imported by the long-established distributor Don Stefano, known for his careful selection and consistent quality.

Caribbean Passion Meets German Tradition

We’ve come to know German cigar maker Oskar Nausch and his Tabacalera Don Esteban very well. Since the early 2000s, we’ve collaborated with him on various private label projects. For instance, our highly successful Domaine de Lavalette Zigarren have been produced by him for decades. His tabacalera is small, which gives it a close-knit, family-like atmosphere, and he is always meticulous in his work. All cigars he produces—aside from our aforementioned private labels—are imported by the renowned distributor Don Stefano based in Wettenberg, Hesse. In the past, this distributor also handled Perdomo Zigarren and previously carried products from Abe Flores’ PDR Cigars in Tamboril, although those moved to Kopp Tobacco in early 2023.
