Aganorsa Leaf JFR Connecticut

Aganorsa JFR Connecticut Cigars are the ideal choice for aficionados seeking a smooth and aromatic yet characterful cigar from Nicaragua. They combine expert craftsmanship with a creamy, well-balanced smoking experience, rounded out by subtle notes of coffee, cocoa, wood, and a hint of sweet vanilla. Thanks to the golden Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper, the series ranges from mild to medium-bodied – perfect for relaxed afternoon enjoyment or as an elegant introduction to the world of Aganorsa cigars. To write about this line, I lit up a Super Toro, and right after unwrapping it, I noticed the very pleasant silky wrapper. Sounds silly and totally like marketing speak, but the first puffs were exactly as described above. That slightly “coating” or “sticky” sensation – I personally really like that. To each their own!

Aganorsa Leaf – Tobacco Craft With a Caribbean Soul

Behind the brand stands Cuban-born entrepreneur Eduardo Fernandez Pujals, who discovered his passion for tobacco after successfully taking his company Telepizza public in Spain. Under the name Agricola Norteña S.A. – better known as Aganorsa Leaf – he began growing premium Caribbean-style tobacco in Nicaragua in 1997. Today, his tobaccos form the backbone of numerous renowned brands such as Warped Zigarren, Viaje Zigarren, and even the Illusione Zigarren by Don Giulito, which are not available in Germany. At his Tabacalera TABSA, handcrafted longfillers are created that unite tradition, innovation, and passion. In the 2010s, Aganorsa became the “holy grail” of tobacco growers and earned a stellar reputation. That Eduardo eventually began producing his own cigars was a logical next step. Since being introduced to the German market in 2023 by Kopp Tobacco, Aganorsa Leaf cigars have sold very well and continue to grow in popularity.

JFR Connecticut: Creamy Enjoyment With Character

The JFR Connecticut line is made entirely from tobaccos grown on Aganorsa’s own farms. A silky Connecticut Shade wrapper from Ecuador encases Nicaraguan binder and filler, creating a delicate balance of creaminess, nutty sweetness, and a touch of leather and wood. Typical of the series is the meticulous craftsmanship, featuring a closed foot and elegant pigtail cap. Whether you choose the Robusto or Super Toro – each vitola offers a harmonious smoking experience with a refined finish. A strong case for the depth a mild cigar can possess – perfect for lovers of cigars from Nicaragua who appreciate a balanced profile.
