Condega Serie F

This Nicaraguan puro was introduced in Germany in November 2017 by the Solingen-based importer Wolfertz. These pleasantly affordable, budget-friendly cigars are available in three different vitolas. On January 1, 2023, Thorsten Wolfertz sold his company to VCF (Vandermarliere Cigar Family), but remained on board and continues to distribute the affordable cigars from Nicaragua featured here under this new “banner.”

Condega Serie F: Tobaccos and Origins in Nicaragua

The wrapper is a Corojo 99, as is the binder – these are, incidentally, the famous “signature tobaccos” of this manufacturer. The filler, meanwhile, consists of a Criollo 98 and a Corojo 99 from Nicaragua. Thorsten Wolfertz “stumbled across” this brand while looking for affordable cigars, as they were and continue to be highly successful on the Spanish market. In 1997, owner Eduardo Fernández founded the now almost legendary tobacco-growing company AGANORSA in Esteli, Nicaragua, before acquiring Tabacalera Tropical in 2002, including the Condega cigar brand.

The guys may not have been particularly well known on the German market back then, but anyone voted Tabacalera of the Year (Halfwheel.com) two years in a row must be doing quite a few things right, wouldn't you agree? They now operate under the name Casa Fernandez, which may ring a bell for some of you. That's right – our directly imported cigars by Warped Cigars also come from this manufacturer.

Flavors of the Condega Serie F and Other Condega Series

The Condega Serie F features characteristic sweet notes of cedar and cinnamon. Intense flavors and a perfect burn are typical hallmarks of cigars from Casa Fernandez; within the industry, the tabacalera is almost legendary for its perfectly aged and processed raw tobaccos. Since summer 2026, the portfolio has also included the somewhat milder Condega Serie C, whose light Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper is aimed at aficionados who prefer a somewhat milder smoke.
