In the world of fine tobacco, Meerapfel is a name that resonates with prestige. The Belgian family is particularly renowned for its exquisite Cameroon tobacco, sourced from the Central African Republic. Beyond this fine commodity, Meerapfel is also a key distributor, marketing world-class labels such as Padron and Arturo Fuente across the globe.
With such deep industry ties as both supplier and distributor, the family naturally boasts an impressive network—including some of the finest Tabacaleras in the world. This raises the obvious question: why not produce their own cigars? Said and done: since 2014, the family has been involved in cigar manufacturing. Their debut came with the outstanding—though now sold-out—Estancia series.

However, the current lines are no less impressive. The Square Line features Nicaraguan Puros, crafted as longfillers that deliver rich aromas, satisfying even the most discerning aficionados. This goal is achieved through a bold yet perfectly balanced blend, executed with effortless elegance.
The Maestranza line, on the other hand, offers a milder experience. These creamy cigars, wrapped in a Costa Rican wrapper, were originally produced exclusively for Mahesh P. Ranmani of the Rasa Trading Company in Tallinn. Now, aficionados beyond Estonia can also enjoy them. We’re delighted to offer this fantastic line locally as well.

At the top of the company’s portfolio sits the ultra-premium Meir series, paying homage to the brand’s founder. Meir Meerapfel established the company in 1876 in the Baden province, in Untergrombach, near Karlsruhe, laying the foundation for a great tobacco dynasty.
Only 613 boxes are produced annually—in a Tabacalera whose name remains a closely guarded family secret. The blend itself is also undisclosed, leaving us with only one option: sit back, savor, and enjoy—a truly refined cigar for special occasions!
