Casdagli Daughters of the Wind

So far, Jeremy Casdagli, the founder and owner of Casdagli Cigars, has had all of his Casdagli cigars produced at the Kelner Boutique Factory KBF in the Dominican Republic. Since 2019, he has had this Daughters of the Wind Line made in Costa Rica by the small Tabacalera IGM of Don Olman Guzman in Puriscal.

Casdagli Daughters of the Wind Cigars: Unique Craftsmanship and Tradition

The name is a tribute to Jeremy’s ancestors, who purchased horse stables near Cairo in Egypt in the early 1900s. Demy and Alick Casdagli bought Sheikh Obeyd’s horse breeding operation and went on to successfully breed Arabian racehorses of the Dahman sub-strain. These horses were renowned for their strength, elegance, and finesse. The name “Daughters of the Wind” is the title of a 6th-century Arabic poem describing the beauty of the Bedouins’ desert horses.

The Daughters of the Wind cigars are produced as completely hand-rolled longfillers. The filler blend is a highly distinctive and exclusive mélange of tobaccos from Peru and the Dominican Republic. The binder comes from the brand’s own cultivation in Costa Rica, while the wrapper is imported from Ecuador. The result is full-bodied cigars with complex, rich, slightly sweet, and peppery notes.

Jeremy Casdagli originally operated under the name Bespoke Cigars, but was required to change it to Casdagli Cigars between 2018 and 2019 for trademark reasons in the United States. As a special recommendation from this line, we particularly suggest the perfectly crafted Perfecto bearing the evocative name Sabino.
