Casdagli Daughters of the Wind

So far, Jeremy Casdagli, the founder and owner of Casdagli Cigars, has had all of his Casdagli cigars manufactured at the Kelner Boutique Factory (KBF) in the Dominican Republic. However, since 2019, he has been having this Daughters of the Wind line produced in Costa Rica at the small Tabacalera IGM by Don Olman Guzman in Puriscal, Costa Rica.

The name is a tribute to Jeremy's ancestors who, in the early 1900s, purchased horse stables near Cairo, Egypt. Demy and Alick Casdagli bought Sheikh Obeyd's horse breeding operation and subsequently successfully bred Arabian racehorses from the sub-strain of Dahman. These horses were renowned for their strength, elegance, and finesse. The name "Daughters of the Wind" is the title of an Arabic poem from the 6th century that describes the beauty of the Bedouin horses from the desert.

The Daughters of the Wind cigars are made entirely by hand as long fillers. The blend of fillers is a very special and exclusive mix of tobaccos from Peru and the Dominican Republic. The binder comes from their own cultivation in Costa Rica, while the wrapper is imported from Ecuador. This results in robust cigars with complex, rich, slightly sweet, and peppery notes.

Jeremy Casdagli was originally operating under the name Bespoke Cigars but had to change the name to Casdagli Cigars between 2018-2019 due to trademark issues in the USA.
