El Septimo Emperor
We have been carrying the El Septimo Cigars since 2019. During our visit to the PCA trade show in the US in spring 2024, we noticed new boxes at the booth of this luxury cigar brand that we had not seen before. We stepped onto the stand and immediately ran into the International Sales Manager, an old acquaintance of ours. The American Chip Goldeen previously held the same position at Ashton Cigars before retiring. As so often happens, however, new retirees soon realize that they miss their work and that both the mental and physical activity had done them good. By chance, Chip then came into contact with Zaya Younan, the owner of El Septimo, and offered his services. Thanks to his many years of international experience, he has made a significant contribution to the continued global expansion of these cigars from Costa Rica since taking up his role in January 2021. Here we are proud to present the cigars of the The Emperor Collection line. These exclusive cigars stand for the brand’s meticulous attention to detail and serve as a benchmark for luxury and exceptional sophistication. Each vitola is dedicated to a great ruler, king, or military leader. The manufacturer deliberately discloses no details of its blends; only the words Connecticut and Maduro are mentioned – which we would have recognized anyway!
El Septimo Cigars: The Exclusive Emperor Collection
The Alexander III Toro, measuring 54 x 152 mm, is a classic representative of its format. It honors the legendary Emperor Alexander III, better known as Alexander the Great, who lived between 356 BC and 323 BC. At around twenty years of age, he became king and, in just under 13 years of rule, conquered an empire of astonishing size for its time, stretching from Greece across present-day Turkey to Iran. He was admired for his military prowess and strategic brilliance, and his legacy is reflected in the balanced strength and complex aromas of this cigar. The Alexander III is ideal for connoisseurs seeking a multi-layered smoking experience. It reveals notes of cedar and vanilla, inviting cigar enthusiasts to experience its rich history with every draw.
This cigar, named after the Chinese Emperor Yao, comes in a Grande format measuring 60 x 165 mm and represents the prosperity and wisdom associated with its namesake. His reign is often linked to a time of great affluence and cultural flourishing. Much like the revered emperor, the Yao cigar offers a harmonious blend of flavors and presents sweet cocoa and earthiness alongside numerous peppery spices. This cigar promises a smoking time of just over an hour. It is available with both a light Connecticut and a dark Maduro wrapper.
Luxury and Sophistication: El Septimo Cigars of the Emperor Collection
The Augustus cigar in a Robusto format of 52 x 127 mm reflects the strength and resilience of Emperor Augustus and impresses with its bold and intense flavor profile. Emperor Augustus is known for his role in founding the Roman Empire and for his commitment to cultural and architectural advancement. Likewise, this vitola presents aromas of rich cocoa, intense coffee, and a hint of pepper, all wrapped in a Colorado-colored wrapper. With a smoking time of just under 50 minutes, it is a symbol of power, sophistication, and complexity that reflects the grandeur of its historical namesake.
The El Septimo Emperor Collection cigars also impress with their visual aesthetics: Each cigar is adorned with a double cigar band. The main band bears the El Septimo logo, surrounded by ornate gold embellishments that symbolize the brand’s commitment to luxury and sophistication. The second band, displaying the name of the respective emperor in gold, completes the impression of opulence and cultural richness.
