El Septimo Luxus (10 Year Tobacco)

The name of this luxury cigar brand has various meanings, but generally, El Septimo can be translated as "the Seventh." The cigar manufacturer explains this by referring to the biblical creation story: after six exhausting days, God rested on the seventh day from his "creative work." The aficionado should also rest and "enjoy his work" while indulging in these cigars.

Today, the headquarters of this cigar brand are located in Geneva and it was founded in 2005 by Gilles Botquin. Initially, these ultra-premium cigars were mainly available in the European market, but since 2019, they have also entered the US market. This is likely due to the fact that in 2019, the brand was acquired by the US real estate mogul Zaya S. Younan, who amassed wealth in the real estate sector in the 2000s. As an avid cigar smoker, he aims to provide "his" cigars to all aficionados, presenting El Septimo as the "pinnacle of perfection" in the cigar production industry.

The long-fillers are exclusively rolled in Costa Rica using locally grown tobaccos. These tobaccos are aged for a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 15 years before they become cigars.
