Vegas de Santiago Gran Reserva

This line was introduced in November 2016 as the third series of Vegas de Santiago cigars from Costa Rica. Originally, we carried this cigar brand exclusively for Germany; after two years, the manufacturer took the next step and signed a contract with the distributor Casagranda Cigars, meaning these outstanding cigars are now more widely available in Germany.

Vegas de Santiago Gran Reserva Cigars: Elegance and Mildness from Costa Rica

The vitolas presented here—initially there was only one—are essentially this manufacturer’s entry-level cigars. In terms of flavor, they are milder than the classic Vegas de Santiago D8 cigars and, in particular, significantly milder than the more full-bodied La Familia cigars. The Gran Reserva are the “beginner cigars” of Costa Rica’s finest brand. They present a refined, pleasant mildness with a remarkable complexity of aromas. An initially earthy character evolves into flavors of leather and a hint of pepper, before unfolding into a sweet creaminess with a chocolate nuance that tells the story of Costa Rica.

In 2013, the Torpedo from this line received 94 points from the cigar magazine Cigar Journal and was recommended as a “Best Buy.” Nothing more needs to be said!
