Vegas de Santiago D8

This authentic boutique cigar from Costa Rica is produced by a Swiss family who emigrated there. The Vegas de Santiago D8 is made with a blend of Caribbean tobaccos, with Ligero coming from the Dominican Republic and Viso and Seco sourced from Peru and Costa Rica. The binder is a Criollo from Ecuador, and it is finally finished with an Ecuadorian H-2000 wrapper. All the tobaccos used are aged for at least three years before being processed.

Marc Niehaus and his (unfortunately deceased in 2015) father Rudy Niehaus produce very high-quality cigars that emit a light creamy aroma of cedar wood and coffee notes. The "8" represents luck, prosperity, and sharing, and it impresses with a well-balanced flavor profile of delicate coffee, leather, cedar, and nutty notes. The subtle sweetness combined with hints of black pepper, along with a creamy and smooth smoke, enhances the enjoyment of the D8. The touch of pepper makes this otherwise mild cigar interesting even for more experienced connoisseurs.

In the fall of 2014, we imported a larger quantity of these highly interesting cigars ourselves since this small but excellent Tabacalera did not have a distributor in Germany until then. We decided to order the cigars in bundles and in larger quantities to lower the retail price in Germany. We succeeded quite noticeably; the vitolas became around 20% cheaper compared to the ones already available in Germany. We calculated the prices of the new formats particularly tightly and competitively.

Since 2016, these interesting boutique cigars have been distributed by Casagranda Cigars
