Bossner Maduro (Dominican Republic)

In addition to the Bossner Maduro presented here, there are also the Bossner Classic Cigars from the Dominican Republic (with Connecticut Shade wrappers) and another line from Nicaragua. The filler used here consists of Seco and Ligero from Piloto tobacco, combined with a Dominican Olor binder. The wrapper is a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro (sun-grown without shade and fermented longer). These Maduros develop a dominant woody-spicy aroma with floral as well as earthy notes. As the smoke progresses, it evolves more toward roasted flavors.

Behind this brand is a cigar enthusiast from Russia who has had “his” cigars produced in a manufactory in the Dominican Republic since the 1990s. Crafted with perfect workmanship, they offer something for every palate. Some aficionados find these cigars—or rather their bands—a bit too eye-catching, although it must be said that Konstantin was quite ahead of his time in this regard. Nowadays, there are numerous other examples of very opulently designed cigars, such as the Opus X by Arturo Fuente.
