Centaur Cigars Hero Series

We have very fond memories of the launch of these cigars—perhaps due to the particularly friendly and relaxed atmosphere in which we first sampled them. As is often the case, this introduction also began with an email from the producer and brand owner Tobias Forst, who was keen to present his cigars to us in person.

The Creative World of the Centaur Hero Series Cigars

As exciting and interesting as this generally is, we must admit that we have become somewhat “jaded” and a bit disillusioned over time. In our view, far too many people have cigars “put together” somewhere in the Caribbean and then assume these products will sell exceptionally well. With Mr. Forst, however, we were convinced by both his story and his cigars. As a passionate admirer of Greek mythology, he chose various ancient heroes as namesakes and—this is the intriguing part—attempted to reflect their “character” throughout the smoking progression of each blend. All blends are available in just one vitola, his preferred format: the Toro.

Cheiron Cigars: Unique Blends Inspired by Greek Mythology

His point of departure is Cheiron, the half-horse, half-human figure who holds a distinguished position among the centaurs. This wise and benevolent character is known, among other things, as the teacher of Achilles and Asclepius. His cigars are produced by Hendrik Kelner Jr. at his renowned factory, Kelner Boutique Factory (KBF), in the Dominican Republic. Cigars from Casdagli Cigars, Principle Cigars, and of course Hendrik’s own Smoking Jacket Cigars are also rolled there.
