Crowned Heads Le Careme

Le Carème Cigars have been available in the U.S. since 2016 and have also been available here since summer 2022. As is typical for Crowned Heads Cigars, there is once again a compelling story behind the name. They are a tribute to the 19th-century culinary pioneer Marie-Antoine Carême. He lived in Paris from 1784 to 1833 and laid key foundations for the modern success of refined French cuisine. His likeness can still be seen today on the Médaille de l'Académie culinaire de France.

Le Carème by Crowned Heads: A Cigar to Savor

These cigars are produced by Ernesto Perez-Carrillo at his Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. in the Dominican Republic. This is also where the Four Kicks Cigars, Headley Grange, and J.D. Howard Reserve for Crowned Heads are rolled. Ernesto himself is said to have described this blend as tasting almost like a chocolate soufflé. This profile is driven by the Connecticut Broadleaf Grade A wrapper, an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and a Nicaraguan filler blend. Gastronomic Inspiration: The Story Behind Le Carème Cigars

Another cigar line centered around culinary enjoyment is the Le Patissier Cigars. Monsieur Carême was especially renowned for his contributions to the art of dessert, which is reflected in the name—roughly translating to “the pastry chef.” In general, the patissier is the person in a restaurant kitchen responsible for desserts.
