Crowned Heads Le Careme

The cigars of Le Carême have been available in the USA since 2016, and they have been offered by us since the summer of 2022. As always with Crowned Heads cigars, there is once again a lovely story behind the name's choice. They pay homage to the 19th-century culinary pioneer Marie-Antoine Carême. He lived from 1784 to 1833 in Paris and laid the foundations for the contemporary success of refined French cuisine. His likeness, for instance, can still be seen on the Médaille de l'Académie culinaire de France.

These cigars are crafted by Ernesto Perez-Carrillo at his Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. in the Dominican Republic. Here, the Four Kicks, Headley Grange, and J.D. Howard Reserve for Crowned Heads are also rolled. Ernesto himself is said to have described this blend as tasting almost like a chocolate soufflé! This flavor profile is achieved through the use of the Connecticut Broadleaf Grade A wrapper and the Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, combined with Nicaraguan filler.
