La Aurora 115 Anniversary
Tabacalera La Aurora is the oldest cigar factory in the Dominican Republic. Since 1903, they have been producing high-quality, handcrafted long-filler cigars. Nowadays, the two cigar brands, Leon Jimenes and La Aurora, are mainly produced and sold worldwide. Both are managed and distributed in Germany by the traditional company Arnold André from Bünde.
In 2018, to celebrate the 115th anniversary of the cigar factory, this commemorative series was created. These cigars are the "quasi" masterpieces of the best Torcedores (cigar rollers), paying homage to 115 years of tradition and experience. Spicy notes of black pepper dominate the beginning and pave the way for more complex and delicate flavors. Additionally, experienced Aficionados will taste nuances of cinnamon, nuts, and citrus that remain powerful, creamy, and highly sophisticated throughout the smoking experience.
In the summer of 2020, initially, three different Vitolas were released, made with filler tobaccos from the Dominican Cibao Valley, Nicaragua, and Brazil. The binder comes from Brazil, and the wrapper was harvested in Ecuador.
