La Aurora Black Lion Cameroon

We received the first news about this new series from La Aurora in March 2016. There are a total of four different versions that differ both in the tobacco blend and the wrapper used.

The version described here is rolled with a Cameroon wrapper from Ecuador. Beneath it, a Dominican binder is hidden, along with a hearty blend of filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic. The exact same composition regarding the origin of the countries is also used for the classic La Aurora Cameroon; this one can be considered the "amped-up" version of the regular offering.

Taste-wise, these cigars are medium to full-bodied, with dominant flavors of cream, coffee, earth, and nuts. The design and arrangement of the cigar band "vaguely" resemble a brand from another manufacturer known for its use of intense and striking colors. Moreover, it's interesting to note that all four versions of the Black Lion by La Aurora are exclusively available in the USA at JR Cigars, which in turn belong to Imperial Tobacco/Altadis, making it quite intriguing to ponder... ;-)
