La Flor Dominicana Ligero

These cigars already hint at their characteristics in their name. Besides the Double Ligero, these are certainly the most robust cigars by Litto Gomez and his wife Ines. The two founded the cigar brand La Flor Dominicana in 1996 and have since offered an incredibly broad range of products. The Ligeros in this category are just one of the 6 different categories we offer on our website.

Apart from these Ligeros here, we also have the following: Double Ligero, Suave, Air Bender, Edicion Limitada, and "Other." On his own website, depending on how you count, he lists up to 12 different series. All cigars in this section feature an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. Both the binder and the entire filler come from the Dominican Republic.

Litto takes particular pride in the degree of vertical integration in his cigar production. He owns his own plantations and a personal tabacalera. This is a significant distinction from many other purely "marketing cigars" that focus only on creating elaborate bands and packaging without influencing the cigar's production in any way. Additionally, like Rocky Patel, Litto is also politically engaged in the fight against excessive anti-cigar policies in the USA.
