Since 2024, the cigars of the Emissary series by Macanudo have enriched the brand's portfolio. The name "Emissary" – meaning "envoy" – says it all: The Macanudo Emissary combines the aromatic diversity of European tobaccos with the intense complexity of the Caribbean. Rare tobaccos from Europe, including those from Spain, meet selected varieties from Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and Colombia. The mild to medium-strength blends appeal to both experienced aficionados and interested beginners.
Macanudo Emissary España: Aromatic Journey Through Five Countries
The Macanudo Emissary España combines tobaccos from five different countries into a unique blend. The filler mixes H-2000 seeds grown in Spain and aged for over ten years with five to six-year-old tobaccos from Colombia, the Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua. A six-year-aged Condega binder from Nicaragua and a five-year-old Connecticut Broadleaf Claro wrapper complete the blend.
The Taste of Emissary España Cigars
The result is a medium to full-bodied smoking experience. Upon lighting the Emissary España, a multifaceted aroma spectrum unfolds: sweet cedar, black cherry, leather, and roasted coffee shape the flavor profile. As it progresses, subtle notes of nutmeg and vanilla emerge, adding additional depth to the cigar. The burn is even and flawless. An ideal accompaniment to the Macanudo Emissary España would be a Single Malt Whisky or a robust espresso.
