ADV The Conqueror

The line presented here, Adventura Cigars The Conqueror, initially consisted of only two vitolas: a classic Robusto and a mighty Canonero in the Gordo Plus format, measuring 7 inches in length with a very large ring gauge of 60. The Canonero—translated as “gunner” or “gunboat”—features truly outstanding packaging. The 20 cigars are delivered in a wooden container with a sliding lid that resembles a boat on the outside. In the meantime, the range has expanded significantly to include many more vitolas, including limited editions.

Adventura Cigars The Conqueror: A Journey of Discovery in Flavors and Design

The series name stands for discovering and conquering new territories and symbolically also for discovering new flavors by the cigar-smoking connoisseur. In this case, the wrapper is an H-2000 from Ecuador, the binder is a Sumatra from Ecuador, and the filler blend consists of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos, as already seen in the The Navigator cigar. The body is medium, making the vitolas presented here suitable for both beginners and more experienced aficionados. As befits a nautical cigar, both The Conqueror start with slightly salty and chocolatey aromas. As the smoke develops, they become somewhat more caramel-sweet with subtle woody notes. The raw tobaccos for these two vitolas are aged for four to five years before rolling, and the finished cigars are then matured for another four to five months in the aging room of the tabacalera.

The cigar brand Adventura Cigars has so far been sold mainly on the Swiss market. The initiator and company owner is the Swiss entrepreneur Marcel Knobel. He has been running an online shop in Switzerland for some time and is also involved in other projects there under the name Cuba d’OroFine Artisanal Cigars.

From the Swiss Market to the World: The Fascinating Expansion of Adventura Cigars

The Conqueror is one of many different lines he has launched—or continues to launch—on the market. The cigars are essentially his own brand, which he conceptualized in collaboration with Tabacalera Henderson Ventura in the Dominican Republic and also has produced there. The tabacalera is not unknown; among others, cigars by Robert Caldwell are also produced here. Initially, Adventura Cigars were distributed exclusively and selectively in Switzerland through other affiliated retailers; today, these products are also available in Germany.

The founder Marcel summarizes his philosophy regarding cigars as: “Flavor first – Label second.” For him, enjoyment clearly takes center stage. His primary goal has always been to offer complex and flavorful cigars that provide the connoisseur with exciting and complex experiences. Here you can find an overview of all Adventura cigars available in Germany.
