Balmoral Royal Selection Reserva

After the Claro and Maduro series, this is the third series from Balmoral Cigars. As part of the test version “Vedado Tres”, three different toros with different wrappers were produced and “released” for tasting. Consumers and retailers opted for the blend of the current Reserva, making it the foundation for the new series.

Balmoral Reserva: The Creation of a New Cigar Series

The binder comes from the Dominican Republic, while the wrapper is a bold Sun Grown from Nicaragua. The filler in the Perla was blended somewhat milder to ensure this format does not become too strong; only Dominican and Brazilian fillers were used here. For the Toro and the Corona, an additional leaf from Nicaragua was included to give the larger formats more aromatic richness.

The Variety of Balmoral Cigars: From Claro to Anejo XO

In addition to the three classic series mentioned earlier, the more exclusive Anejo 18 deserves special mention. These three cigars were produced until the end of 2015 with an 18-year-aged wrapper, which has since been completely used up. Therefore, since the end of 2015, the “replacement” series Anejo XO has been available, offering a very similar flavor profile to the “original.” Here you can find a complete overview of the Balmoral cigars.
