Balmoral Royal Selection Reserva

After the Claro and Maduro series, this is the third series of Balmoral cigars. As part of the test version "Vedado Tres," three different Toros with different wrappers were produced and "released" for tasting. Consumers and retailers opted for the blend of the current Reserva, which became the foundation for the new series.

The binder comes from the Dominican Republic, and the wrapper is a robust Sun Grown from Nicaragua. The filler in the Perla was blended slightly milder so that this format doesn't become too strong; only Dominican and Brazilian fillers were used here. In the Toro and Corona, an additional leaf from Nicaragua was added to give the larger formats more flavor complexity.

In addition to the three aforementioned classic series, the more exclusive Anejo 18 deserves special mention. Until the end of 2015, these three cigars were equipped with an 18-year-old wrapper, which has now been completely used up. Therefore, since the end of 2015, the "replacement" series Anejo XO has been available, which has a very similar flavor profile to the "old" one. Here, you can find a complete overview of Balmoral's cigars.
