These very affordable cigars are machine-made primarily from Dominican tobaccos and individually sealed for aroma protection in cellophane packaging. The Balmoral Dominican Selection filler is composed of a blend of select Caribbean tobaccos, making for a pleasantly mild smoking experience. The wrapper is a Connecticut Shade from Ecuador, and the binder comes from the Dominican Republic.

In recent years, the Balmoral cigar brand has gained significant renown with the introduction of the high-quality Anejo 18 series. In September 2015, the tobacco bales used for this series were exhausted, leading to its renaming as Anejo XO. One could almost call it a "Phaeton effect"; here, an attempt was made to elevate the image of the entire brand with a premium product.
