Gurkha Cask Blend
The Gurkha Cask Blend cigars are part of a total of three new series introduced at IPCPR 2015 in New Orleans. The other two have in common that they originate from Nicaragua (the Gurkha Heritage and Gurkha Cellar Reserve Platinum). However, these ones come from the Dominican Republic, so it seems that the owner of Gurkha Cigars, the Indian-born Kaizad Hansotia, has not only focused on innovations from Nicaragua this year but also made a little detour to the Dominican Republic.
We would like to disclose more details about the Gurkha Cask Blend, but unfortunately, the manufacturer is very tight-lipped here and explicitly states that it is a "proprietary blend." In other words, it's a "protected" blend, or simply put, a secret. The flavor profile mentioned by the manufacturer includes sweet spices and intense woody notes. Last but not least, the packaging style in the massive 200-count box is certainly an eye-catcher; it is meant to resemble the wooden containers into which the cigars are placed right after rolling, before they enter the aging room.
The format "Grand Robusto" of the Gurkha Cask Blend was individually introduced in Germany only in the spring of 2016. Previously, it was available for pre-order only as part of the Gurkha IPCPR 2015 Sampler. We now also have the slightly smaller Robusto exclusively available in our selection.
