Gurkha Grand Reserve

The cigars bearing the distinguished name Grand Reserve are undoubtedly among the best-known and most distinctive Gurkha cigars. Their defining feature is the infusion with premium Louis XIII Cognac from France. The manufacturer emphasizes that the tobacco is neither sprayed nor steamed. Instead, a particularly gentle and subtle—though closely guarded—process is used to marry the spirit with the tobacco.

Gurkha Grand Reserve: a Symphony of Cognac and Dominican Tobacco

All tobaccos used come from the Dominican Republic and are exceptionally mild. The wrapper is a Connecticut Shade leaf that has been aged for five years. The binder and filler tobaccos have also been aged for three years, giving the cigar an exceptionally smooth, mild and creamy character. Each cigar is individually packaged in an elaborate glass tubo with a plastic cap designed to resemble wax. The cigars are supplied in cartons of 30. The wooden display is available exclusively to retailers as a point-of-sale display. Please note that this wooden display is not included with an order of 30 cigars.

The Return of Gurkha Grand Reserve Cigars to Germany

Before Gurkha returned to the German market in 2013, these cigars had already been available from us once before. During the 2000s, around ten years earlier, a small selection of vitolas had already been introduced in Germany. The Grand Reserve line was part of that first wave. Great memories!
