Gurkha Seduction

The importer of these cigars decided to discontinue this series on the German market at the beginning of 2017. Given the huge portfolio of Gurkha cigars and the originally ambitious price, this decision is quite understandable... We assured the importer that we would take the entire stock, and as a result, we can now offer all Gurkha Seduction cigars to our customers at a significantly reduced price. They are now real bargains - only while stocks last, with around 40% discount! (Update from March 2017)

The English word "Seduction" means "Verführung" in German - so the velvety appearance of the cigar boxes fits perfectly. The Gurkha Seduction series is made with an Ecuadorian H wrapper, a Dominican Olor binder, and the filler is from Colombia. We don't come across Corojo tobacco from Colombia very often, so we were quite curious. Medium-bodied, spicy, with well-combined notes of cocoa, wood, coffee, almonds, and a subtle salty nuance. Blindfolded, we would have mistaken it for a very good Nicaraguan cigar.

Gurkha cigars are famous for their particularly extravagant names, boxes, and blends. The brand was revived in the early 1990s by the Indian-born Kaizad Hansotia. The name comes from the Nepalese fighters of the 19th century ("Gorkha" is the original name of the Kingdom of Nepal) who fought alongside the British in the Indian subcontinent.

As for the boxes, the internationally renowned "King of Packaging," Kaizad, has once again struck gold. The 20-cigar boxes are lined with velvet on the outside and inside, giving them a very luxurious appearance. Some aficionados around the world may find the emphasis or attention that this brand places on presentation a bit much, but that is something everyone can decide for themselves! After all, the English word "Seduction" means "Verführung" in German, so the velvety appearance of the cigar boxes fits perfectly.
