Gurkha Seduction

The importer of these cigars decided to discontinue this series on the German market at the beginning of 2017. Given the extensive portfolio of Gurkha Cigars and the (originally) rather ambitious price point, the decision was quite understandable. We agreed to purchase the importer's entire remaining stock, allowing us to offer all Gurkha Seduction cigars to our customers at a significantly reduced price from now on. Gurkha Seduction Cigars: Exclusive Deals and Discounts

The English word Seduction needs no translation, and it perfectly reflects the velvety finish of the cigar boxes. The Seduction series by Gurkha features an H-wrapper from Ecuador, an Olor binder from the Dominican Republic, and a filler from Colombia. We rarely come across Corojo tobacco from Colombia, which made us all the more curious. These are medium-bodied cigars with a spicy profile and well-balanced notes of cocoa, wood, coffee, almonds, and a subtle salty nuance. In a blind tasting, we would have been more likely to identify them as an excellent Nicaraguan cigar.

Gurkha cigars are famous—and infamous—for their particularly extravagant names, packaging, and blends. The brand was revived in the early 1990s by Indian-born Kaizad Hansotia. Its name is derived from the Nepalese warriors of the 19th century ("Gorkha" being the original name of the Kingdom of Nepal), who fought alongside the British on the Indian subcontinent.

The Variety of Gurkha Seduction: Tobacco Blends and Flavors

When it comes to packaging, the internationally renowned "King of Packaging", Kaizad, once again lived up to his reputation. The boxes of 20 are lined with velvet inside and out, giving them an exceptionally premium appearance. Some cigar aficionados feel that the emphasis this brand places on presentation is a bit excessive, but that is ultimately a matter of personal taste. The name Seduction certainly suits the velvety exterior of these cigar boxes perfectly.
