La Aurora 107 Ecuador

The Tabacalera La Aurora celebrated its 107th anniversary in 2010 as the oldest cigar factory in the Dominican Republic, which is also the origin of the name of this cigar series. The La Aurora 107 pays homage to the longstanding tradition of the factory and the passion of the company owners for cigars.

Guillermo León is now the third generation of the renowned family leading the direction of the Tabacalera securely and purposefully. In addition to this brand, they also produce Leon Jimenes and Preferidos, also very popular and well-known long-fillers from the Dominican Republic.

He and his master blenders selected this special tobacco blend to create the perfect fusion of tradition and modernity in a series that can be enjoyed daily without becoming burdensome or dull. The filler consists of carefully aged tobaccos from the Dominican Cibao Valley as well as Nicaragua and Peru. The filler is enveloped by a Dominican Corojo binder and a dark and oily Sumatra Sun-Grown wrapper from Ecuador, which, due to the climatic conditions (frequent and heavy cloud cover), is effectively a shade-grown leaf.

This tobacco blend provides curious aficionados with nutty and peppery flavors accompanied by sweet caramel and citrus notes. The harmonious interplay of spicy and sweet flavors makes these cigars an easily accessible yet highly intriguing smoking pleasure for any occasion. The Salomon format was already available as a limited edition in the German market in 2014, and in April 2015, this vitola, along with the ones not yet available here, was reintroduced.

In early 2019, two additional vitolas with a Maduro wrapper were added. Since there are only two formats, we have decided to include them here.
