La Aurora Principes Nicaragua

These cigars were introduced in autumn 2022 as the third line within the Principes family. The success story originally began in 2010 with the launch of the light version of the La Aurora Principes Claro Cigars. A year later, the dark La Aurora Principes Maduro Cigars were added, eventually completed by a more aromatic and spicier version from Nicaragua. With the Principes Nicaragua Robusto, La Aurora expands its popular bundle series with an exceptional longfiller cigar made entirely from Nicaraguan tobacco. It offers a complex enjoyment at a price that will surprise even seasoned aficionados, making it ideal for value-conscious enthusiasts who don’t want to compromise on craftsmanship.
La Aurora Cigars: Handmade Longfillers from the Oldest Tabacalera in the Dominican Republic
These affordable cigars come from the oldest still-operating tabacalera in the Dominican Republic, founded in 1910! They are completely handmade longfillers (“hecho a mano”). As with the premium cigars La Aurora Preferidos from the same factory, these are also known for an excellent selection of raw tobaccos. For this series, La Aurora combines traditional production with a rarely used method: parts of the tobacco are fermented in the Dominican Republic using the elaborate Andullo process. This technique compresses the tobacco, enhances its maturation, and gives the cigar an especially full flavor profile.
Flavor Profile of the Principes Nicaragua: Citrus, Berries, Wood, and Chocolate in Harmony
In contrast to the other two classic lines, here the filler, binder, and wrapper are made of 100% Nicaraguan tobaccos. This blend gives the cigars a more aromatic, earthier, and spicier character. During the smoking experience, the Principes Nicaragua unfolds a finely balanced interplay of fresh citrus and berry notes, which blend with nuances of wood and coffee. Creamy hints of chocolate and honey round off the profile, ensuring a harmonious finish. A recommendation for lovers who wish to experience Nicaraguan spice and Dominican refinement united in a longfiller. Here we have prepared an excellent overview of all cigars produced by the Tabacalera La Aurora for you.
