Balmoral Aged 3 Years

The new Balmoral Aged 3 Years cigars ride the wave of success that was "initiated" by the Royal Selection Limited Anejo 18 two years ago. Admittedly, we were also surprised by how successful the long-filler cigar with the 18-year-old wrapper has been and continues to be in the market. Even more astonishing since this didn't quite work out for Dannemann (similar to how VW struggled with the Phaeton) - but the cigars are just good and quite reasonably priced!

Now, a "premium short-filler cigar" with tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and a 3-year-aged Mata Fina wrapper. Master blender Willem van Overveld rightly points out that the additional 3 years have done the tobacco very well. The result is a complex, balanced sweetness of the wrapper that harmonizes excellently with the Dominican tobaccos in the filler.

When the cigars were presented to us, we initially understood that the individual prices would be €7.50 and €8.90. "Bold" was the first thought. It seemed quite daring that 3 years of aging would justify such prices in the short-filler category. Now that the packs with these PACKAGE prices are in front of us, the whole picture looks quite different again...!
