Gurkha Cellar Reserve 18 Years

The Edicion Especial 18 Years cigars are the third extension of the extremely successful Cellar Reserve series. The original was packaged in natural-colored wooden boxes reminiscent of wine crates and was introduced in 2012. It promptly received very good ratings. In 2013, the Reserve Limitada was introduced in black lacquered boxes, and in 2014, this one was launched in very similar but reddish lacquered boxes.

The highlight, or rather the special feature, of this series is the 18-year-old Corojo wrapper from the Dominican Republic. The Reserve Limitada from the previous year used a wrapper from Brazil, and the original Cellar Reserve used a 15-year-old Corojo. Kaizad Hansotia, the founder and owner of Gurkha Cigars, mentioned in an interview that he practically "stumbled upon" this special tobacco leaf and decided to use it for a strictly limited special series of Cellar Reserve Perfectos.

Due to the limited amount of tobacco, only 1000 boxes per format could be produced, and this series will not be reproduced thereafter. We are looking forward to seeing which tobacco he will choose as the wrapper highlight next year!
