Gurkha Cellar Reserve 18 Years

The Edicion Especial 18 Years Gurkha cigars are the third addition to the highly successful Cellar Reserve series. The original line, introduced in 2012, came in natural wood boxes reminiscent of wine crates and immediately received outstanding reviews. In 2013, the Reserve Limitada followed in black lacquered boxes, and in 2014 this edition was introduced in very similar, yet reddish lacquered boxes.

Gurkha Edicion Especial 18 Years: The Exclusive Addition to the Cellar Reserve Series

The defining feature of this series is its 18-year-aged Corojo wrapper from the Dominican Republic. The Reserve Limitada from the previous year featured a wrapper from Brazil, while the original Gurkha Cellar Reserve uses a 15-year-aged Corojo wrapper. Kaizad Hansotia, founder and owner of Gurkha Cigars, explained in an interview that he more or less stumbled upon this exceptional bale of tobacco and decided to use it for a strictly limited special edition of the Cellar Reserve Perfectos.

The Uniqueness of Gurkha Edicion Especial 18 Years Cigars

Due to the limited quantity of tobacco available, only 1,000 boxes of each vitola were produced. Once they are gone, this series will not be released again. We are looking forward to seeing which tobacco Kaizad Hansotia will select as the wrapper highlight for the next edition of the series.
