A. Flores Gran Reserva Maduro
The tabacalera of Abraham “Abe” Flores was established in 2003 in the Dominican Republic and has since developed into a firmly established name in the cigar business. Abe is both a cigar producer under his own name PDR Cigars and a contract manufacturer for other well-known brands. For example, the Gurkha Ghost and various La Palina Cigars come from his production.
Gran Reserva Maduro: The Dark Pearl of Abe Flores PDR Cigars
His own series mainly consist of the 1878 lines and the even more exclusive 1975 Gran Reservas. In addition to the already existing Gran Reserva Corojo and Gran Reserva Sun Grown, the Gran Reserva Maduro presented here was added in October 2018. A complete overview of all cigars by Abe Flores PDR Cigars can be found via the link above. The filler blend consists of Dominican Corojo and Nicaraguan tobacco. The binder is a Dominican Olor, and for the wrapper he uses a Mexican San Andres Maduro. This series is similarly rich-sweet as the “regular” 1878 Madura Especial, but the overall experience is presented in a slightly rounder and more harmonious way.
Abe Flores Expands His Signature Collection: The Gran Reserva Maduro
Abe is a native US American with Dominican roots. In his youth, he spent several years in the Dominican Republic on his grandfather’s farm, where he first came into contact with tobacco. After a few detours and several jobs in the cigar industry in the USA, he eventually developed the desire to open his own factory, which he then realized in 2003.
