The filler originates from the Dominican Republic and Mexico; interestingly, the binder is an expensive, light leaf from Connecticut; both are wrapped in an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, with the darkest leaves (Maduros) specially selected. This composition bestows the series with its expressive character. Handcrafted in Santiago de los Caballeros at a very fair and attractive price, these cigars feature a high-quality cigar ring, are individually cellophane-wrapped, and packaged in 10-count bundles. They are an enrichment to this highly competitive market segment and are available in four different formats.

The cigar series was originally named Dos Gonzalez and underwent a seamless transition to Don Tomas over the course of 2015. However, the cigars remain identical; only the name was changed!

The "regular" variant known as Don Tomas Clasico comes in yellow boxes and is manufactured in Honduras. For clarity, we've added the designation "Bundles" to this one. In the USA, these cigars, even though produced and distributed by the giant STG (Scandinavian Tobacco Group), are not available. Since their introduction in 2012, they have evolved into one of the bestsellers within this price segment.

These cigars pay tribute to Felix Gonzalez (1952-2011), who was a leading tobacco expert at General Cigar Dominicana S.A. for over 30 years. For all tobacco connoisseurs, he always had the advice: "If you want to know how good a tobacco is, you have to touch and feel it."
