Humidor Pure Pipe Pleasure

What a roller coaster...! From hell, with love! The aroma from the tobacco in the can is nothing short of heavenly - like a most delicious fruit tea. But what a disappointment - once in the pipe it truly became the tobacco from hell. Rough and harsh, all that wonderful aroma was nowhere to be found and it tasted like earth and old hay. The mixture barely burned and after just a few bowls I gave up the entire can and moved on to something better. However, a month or so later I revisited the can out of pure desperation when it was all I had left, and lo and behold - it was suddenly fantastic! I smoked the rest and loved it... Months later I visited a good friend who smoked something delicious, and I asked which tobacco it was; it was Devil's Holiday! Apparently this tobacco is terrible when fresh, but heavenly when dried up a bit. I will absolutely order this again, now when I know how to handle it!

I thought this was a lightweight, plastic container, but it's actually a glass jar... I haven't tried it yet.

It's hard to compare filters, but I found these excellent.

I might be making this up in my head, but these might be a fraction thinner than other filters... I should probably get my calipers out before making any claims, but I'm too lazy.

Great stuff, excellent aroma, very well balanced! Reminds me of my old favorite, Connoisseurs Choice by Petersen. Will buy again for sure!

These are pretty great. I think they probably do contribute to a less wet smoking experience, but more importantly they keep the tobacco from clogging up the draw hole in the bottom of the bowl!

I normally prefer smooth, fruity, and aromatic blends. This one is not aromatic at all but still surprised me with its pleasant, smooth smoke. If you can't get hold of an aromatic blend this will do as a substitute.

These are some rather rough pipe cleaners, not so soft and cottonlike as others. But one end is thinner than the other witch is good for cleaning different parts of the pipe.

As many other Vauen blends this one is smooth and top quality, but as someone else already commented; it's not much like melon at all. Overall a rather aroma-neutral smooth tobacco without too many bells and whistles.

Extremely mild and aromatic, much like the Espresso tabac from the same brand. But while I normally love aromatic tabac, this one was not to my liking. It's a bit too much like smoking red wine, the smell from the freshly opened box can be quite overpowering. Very mild and easy to smoke, though. I could imagine that it's a love-or-hate kind of tobacco.

Very aromatic and mild, but it wasn't as good as I had hoped. Very moist, and a bit difficult to light. The smell, while not unpleasant, wasn't so yummy you'd want to eat it from the package. I'd recommend their Espresso tobacco for that. :)

Not as aromatic as I was hoping for. Sure, there is a very faint smell & taste of cherry, but mostly it just tastes like regular tobacco. Still, it was smooth & mild and not at all unpleasant to smoke.

Wow! My new favourite! This tobacco is heavily aromatic and smells so good that you'll want to eat it directly from the box. Like coffee and cake... It's rather moist compared to other brands, but burns perfectly nice in the pipe. The smoke is extremely mild and soothing but with a very pleasant taste and smell. Yummy! A bit more expensive than other brands, but worth every penny. Update 2023: This is still the best stuff around and a must have in every order!
