Optically decent, a few ribs in the wrapper and a little tear towards the foot, but a pleasant looking light brown chubby. Cold: Stable (manure) and leather. Hot: Notes of pepper and licorice, hints of tea, Hay, chocolate, nuts and vanilla. The peppery flavour is at first overwhelming and sharp but five minutes into the smoke it mellows into the complexity of different taste components. Burn is slightly uneven and draw is light at first - almost too light to facilitate smoke development but what does develop is pleasants. Ash is firm, light grey and only slightly flaky 38 mm. a nice smoke; lasting 90 minutes. Not Peak Partagas but up there ... February 7th 2014

Optically decent looking, a few very small ribs in the wrapper and a single green spot. Cold: Stable (manure) and hints of straw, wood and nut. Hot: Leather, straw, wood (teak?) and sharp pepper. Hints of vanilla, licorice, light (dry?) soil and thyme. Pepper quickly mellows into the background and 15 minutes in (2 cm) notes of wood, chocolate wood and thyme take the lead. burn is flawless and draw ever so slightly too tight, but not seriously troublesome. Ash firm, spotty grey and a bit flaky (38 mm). I have had some disappointments with the brand Punch, but this was not one of them. Very pleasant and richly facetted experience. will try it again. The smoke lasted 67 mins. February 21st 2014

Optically; bulky looking and slightly oily. Several ribs in the wrapper. Cold: Leather with hints of stable (manure) and soil. Hot: Notes of leather and soil, hints of licorice and pepper. Burn slightly uneven but not troublesome, Draw medium to light and smoke development not impressive. ash flaky but firm 2.5 cm. Not an impressive smoke, somewhat simple in aromas, but undeniably Cuban. the smoke lasted 65 minutes and bearing the price in mind, not a bad price/value ratio. NB! The cigar is short filler and only partially made by hand. October 25th 2013

Optically a few ribs in the wrapper but a brown pleasant looking cuban. Cold: Notes of Stable (manure) and a slight note of chocolate and nut. Hot: notes of vanilla, chocolate and nut, slight notes of licorice and fruit. towards the last third slight notes of soil and leaather. Burn slightly uneven but not troublesome. Ash firm, slightly spottet and flaky. 4 cm. the smoking of this 6 years old juilieta no 2 lasted 110 minutes and was a very smooth and pleasant experience but for one little thing. The mildness and complxity of aromas must have covered up an abundance of nicotine, because i had a sligt overload towards the end :-) January 3rd 2014

Standard, darkish-brown mareva (129 mm). Looks were a bit sloppy: a few bulky ribs and some flappy edges in the wrapper. Cold: Chocolate, nut and soil with hints of manure. Hot: Heavy soil, leather, pepper, licorice and wood with hints of Citrus and vanilla. I also found traces of nut in the mix. After 20 minutes pepper wood and nut takes the lead. 35 minutes into the sitting, wood and nut became quite sharp and dominating. Combustion, draw and smoke development was close to perfect. Ash was dark grey with a flaky 'layered' look and medium firm (25 mm). The over all impression: a complex and interesting cigar with a harsh finish (it may have some aging potential). The smoke lasted 60 minutes. July 18th 2014

Medium brown cigarillo. Wrapper with some bulky ribs and flappy edges. Cold: manure, chocolate and nut. Hot: Leather, soil, licorice and pepper With hints of chocolate, nut, wood and vanilla. Last half was dominated by a sharp presence of wood and nut. No problems with draw, combustion or smoke development. Ash was medium grey - a bit flaky and firm (15 mm). The smoke lasted 20 minutes of which the first ten were the most pleasant ones. Decent price/value ratio. October 10th 2014. Nb! the cigarillo is machine-made short-filler.

Medum brown cigarillo. Wrapper with some bulky ribs and flappy edges. Cold: Hints of Chocolate and nut. Hot:Straw, licorice, wood and vanilla and an underlying note of sharp pepper that became sharper about half way through. Draw, combustion and smoke development untroublesome. Ash was dark grey and firm (20 mm). The smoke lasted 20 minutes of which the first half were quite pleasurable. After that the peppery sharpies became a bit too dominatiing. decent money/value ratio considering the price, but not exactly unforgettable. October 3rd 2014. NB! The cigarillo is machinemade shortfiller.

Looks: Dark brown, long, slim and elegant, construction nearly flawless; wrapper edges smooth with a few faint ribs. Unfortunately my sample has a 10 mm tear by the foot, but that turns out to be immaterial, having no obvious effect on combustion or draw. Cold: stable (manure) and soil with hints of leather, chocolate and nut. Hot: notes of Soil and grass (herbs?), hints of leather and cream. faint traces of pepper and tea. After 10 mins. hints of vanilla and licorice; 5 mins later followed by hints of chocolate and nut. 30 mins. into the smoke pepper, wood and cream (!) dominating. After 45 mins.: chocolate, nut and cream. 60 mins.: Wood, tea, leather and cream. Burn even and flawless for 75 mins, then brief episode of uneven burn and corrective measures followed by even burn. Draw a bit on the firm side, smoke development medum. Ash firm and speckly 3 cm. Overall (in My experience) slightly less creamy and a bit sharper than montecristo no 2, significantly more complex than No 4 and a predominantly pleasant and stimulating experience. The smoke lasted 90 mins. February 28th 2014.

Optically a very pleasant looking piramides. Close to perfection. Cold: Leather and stable (manure). Hot: Notes of fruit, leather, nut and coffee. Hints of pepper and licorice. The overall impression is creamy and rich. At first the burn is slightly uneven, but it quickly (5-10 mins.) self corrects and stays even from that point. The draw is very light and smoke development consequently not impressive (suspect that i made the cut too high). Ash very firm, light grey and slightly flaky (4,5 cm). A very heavy and impressive Cuban - that i definitely have to try again. The smoke lasted 90 mins. November 8th 2013

Decent looking Medium to light brown little cigar. A few bulky ribs in the wrapper but the edges were tucked in nicely. Cold: Manure chocolate and nut with hints of Licorice (ammonuim chloride?). Hot: Straw, wood, licorice and vanilla. Traces of pepper citrus and nut with hints of chocolate. Construction was a bit firm putting a slight strain on draw and smoke development. Towards the end there was a moderat tendency to uneven burn which provoked a minor correction at one point. None of this was too serious but it did influence the quality assessment. Ash prdominantly a speckly, light grey and firm in construction (25 mm). Overall a pleasant and slightly complex experience. The price/value ratio was decent but considering that Romeo no2 is less than a euro more i suspect that this will be an unfrequent visitor in my humidor. The smoke lasted 50 minutes. looks: medium Brown wrapper with a few bulky ribs and some fermentation spots. Edges were tucked in nicely. Cold: licorice and pepper with a hint of manure and a trace of ammonia. Hot: pepper, licorice and straw with hints of Wood, leather and soil. After 7 minutes: pepper mellowed out a bit and a hint of Vanilla showed up. Construction was a bit firm - Draw, smoke devolpment and combustion subsequently suffered a bit. During the last half there was a slight tendency to uneven burn, but only a single correction was needed. Ash was dark-grey and very firm (35 mm). Overall this Little thing was medium to strong in flavours and somewhat heavier than the rest of the partagas tubos cigars. Not a cigar for every occasion, but very far from bad. The smoke lasted 45 minutes. July 25th 2014

A decent looking little thing: medium brown, a few bulky ribs in the wrapper, but the edges were tucked in nicely. Cold scent was heavy - Manure, licorice, leather and soil. Hot: Licorice, pepper and vanilla. hints of straw, soil, wood and ... beans(?)- and I detected traces of chocolate. The overall impression was impressive - almost overwhelming, but aromas did not develop (change) much. Draw, combustion and smoke development was flawless. Ash was a speckly light grey, slightly flaky but firm (25 mm). In my opinion a mighty little cigar, not for every occasion but suited to accompany rich foods or drinks. The smoke lasted 45 minutes. Looks decent - medium brown, a few ribs showing but the edges of the wrapper are folded snug and nicely to the body. Cold: Notes of Leather and stable (manure) with a hint of chocolate. Hot: Notes of leather, licorice, chocolate, wood and grass as well as a peppery quality that is slightly stronger than the rest. 15 minutes in pepper and wood mellows out and a hint of vanilla is joining in. The draw has been to tight from the beginning but after 30 minutes i becomes seriouly troublesome with uneven burn to the point where the cigar has to be relit, corrected and massaged near the cut. The smoke is resumed and progress is tolerable though the burn has to be corrected again and another massage is necesseary. Ash is a speckly light grey with a flaky appearence. 22 mm, Quality and price/value took a hit due to the burn and draw issues, but judging by flavour this is a complex and interesting smoke in its price range. With relighting and corrections the smoke lasted 75 mins. April 25th 2014

Looks: A few ribs in wrabber and a few bulky spots, edges fitted nicely. Medium brown, decent looking, but not spectacular. Cold: very spicy with notes of leather, chocolate and nut - hints of stable (manure). Hot: Notes of leather, soil. pepper and wood. A hint of vanilla. after 5 mins. pepper mellows out. After 10 mins. predominantly sharp woody notes with hints of leather and a trace of licorice. 15 mins. in wood and leather are joined by hints of grass and tea. This combination was more or less stable throughout the remaining experience. After 50 mins. there were a few infrequent traces of nut and vanilla, but thats it. There was at tendency to uneven burn, that had to be corrected twice. Draw and smoke development was decent. Ash was firm, spotty and a bit flaky, 38 mm. The smoke was a bit monotonous, compared to the promises from the cold impression, but by no means an unpleasant experience, a bit of aging may have been appropriate. The dominating character was Wood. The smoke lasted 80 mins. March 7th 2014
