Smoked one after 12-15 weeks of keeping them in my humidor, and what a pleasant surprise. These cigars are creamy, smooth, and full of flavors. Not necessarily full bodied, but rather full of smooth, creamy, oily sweet smoke. A bit of leather and pepper lingers on the tong after exhaling while the chewy creamy oiliness decades. The draw was a bit tough at the beginning, but it opened up quickly. The construction wasn't perfect, but the burn evened out itself. The dark maduro wrapper stayed intact throughout the whole smoke. Some places state the wrapper to be from Brazil, some from Indonesia. Who cares! It's tasty! La Aurora Principes maduro is a perfect smoke, if full bodied cigars exhaust you, and if you want medium to full flavors on a medium bodied cigar. I only smoked one so far, so I can't say anything about how persistent these will be. Give 'em a try, and if you love them as I do, for 10 more cents you may consider the Toro size. A bundle of these will have a place in my humidor for sure.

Upon the visual inspection I thought this would be the ultimate cigar. Nice dark maduro-like wrapper. Perfect tight construction. After lightning the cigar, the draw was perfect. I had a problem to keep it lit though. A few puffs into it I noticed that the ash was splitting and it started to tunnel badly. The ash was dark and I needed to repair the burn right away. The burn became so bad, that I needed to touch it up and repair it trough the whole smoke to the last quarter of the smoke. I must add, that this experience was right out of the cellophane. Putting the cigar in the humidor for 2-3 weeks may improve some of the features, but not the construction of the cigar. I hope it was the odd one I picked from the bunch I ordered, and it's not how these cigars are constructed over all. The tones dominating were cocoa, leather and peppercorn. An enjoyable mild cigar for the money, given the construction issues are not persistent. Last inch or so was the most enjoyable for me. Burn improved and the flavors mellowed. About a three quarter of an inch before the end it went out on it's own. I will put these in my humidor and see what's gonna happen. Right now I am on the fence whether ordering these again. -------------------------- After two months in the humidor I smoked one today. What a difference. Nice even burn. Spicy, medium cigar full of taste. Spicy leathery taste with long finish. A lot of earthy tobacco and cocoa oily undertones. Creamy and smooth. A really enjoyable smoke over all. This is to show, how much a cigar can develop in time from the shipping in the humidor in a few months. I truly enjoyed it and will order again.
