Humidor Short Dog

Hard to judge. Smoked it for about 150 minutes. Took my time with it. Satisfied the smoker in me, but can't say it was an indulgence or anything special. Starts nutty - grassy and continues woods-toasty and ends in a full blown pepperish feel. Except the strong pepper taste at the end, the rest are barely noticeable, so not an aromatic delight. Then again not bad to smoke either. It's rather easy to smoke - won't kill your senses and the burning is decent. Amount of smoke pretty good and ash resistance more than decent too. All in all - felt like a weekend going out where nothing special happens but then again it's slightly better than just staying at home. Will I try it again? Maybe...why not. But not something to remember or to put it on any special lists. Decent price for the size though. Meh. Peace and love!

Oh wow what a great cigar! Definitely amongst may favourites now. A very mild cigar - perfect for beginners or for day to day smoke. Well built with an impressive wooden cover. The aromas are grassy -light pepper - and a vague fruity flavour. Creamy at some point and very pleasant to smoke. Great burn, nice ash formation and just enough amount of smoke to feel the beauty of it fully. I'd say it's definitely worth the price and for me this is one of the types I d always have in my humidor. Although big - it burns pretty fast - or maybe it was too good to put down to rest - total smoke duration was approx 90-100 minutes. All in all - made me feel like those days when everything I wear fits just well and makes me feel good. Or like a very good pair of Nike air max:) If you haven't tried it yet - go for it at least once. Peace and love!

I have received this as a gift from an awesome waiter at a tapas spot in Duesseldorf. What a cigar oh my oh my! Duration: 120 minutes. Construction, quality of wrapping, burning and ash resistance: all A++. The cigar is made super well. Fire wont go out easy and the amount of smoke is just right. Absolutely gorgeous construction. The only downside is the price. 7 Eur would be more appropriate considering other quality smokes at the same price range. Also - not something I would smoke every day and not even every week. Waaay too sweet for my taste. Feels like you are smoking candy and chocolate. All in all the cigar reminded me of childhood days, when my mom was preparing coca milk and I was waiving my tail like a little doggy ready to absorb it all. Will I have it again? Absolutely yes. Soon? Not too soon:) This feels like a "treat". Something you want to indulge yourself with once in a while. Definitely worth at least a try. Peace and love!

Vega Fina, Vega Fina. You promised so much, but did so little. Smoking duration: 60 minutes. Very well done cigar. Perfect burning -. the right amount of smoke - the ash lasts pretty much before falling and the burn is steady and nice. Looks good and burns good BUT. The taste... come on Vega Fina. A very mild cigar, but unfortunately with very mild aromas too. Might be harsh if I say it's a dull cigar, but... besides the great construction...there's nothing interesting with it. Definitely a good cigar for beginners, but if you want some character to your smoke ... nope. All in all - it is like that friend you have that falls for you and promises you the moon and the stars and everything seems right about them but... for some reason... they are just not your type, so you say "no, thank you.". A big cigar, but very easy to smoke. Airy - maybe a bit too airy for me and thus a fast burner. It was all gone in about 75 minutes. Aromas are not much, but the smoke is smooth and the quantity of smoke is plenty. A grassy-woody-taste with subtle creaminess which could go well after a light dinner or maybe even better in the morning with a coffee. I think this would go well with beginners since it's so easy to smoke. Not the best experience ever BUT for 4.2 Eur - the price performance ratio is excellent. I think I might give it some chances here and there in the future. For the price I definitely recommend it to anyone - especially beginners. All in all it's like the free sodas so many offices have for their employees. You would never be impressed by a Fanta, but when you are thirsty - a cold fresh Fanta feels A++ considering it's a cheap product. Peace and love!

Got this as a present (bought from Cigarworld) and my what a present it was. Smoking time: approx 100 minutes. An excellent cigar from the way it's b built (perfect consistency and stuffed tobacco with a perfect cover) to the way it burns (no need to relight it even after 1.5-2 minutes of rest) and the forming ash is stable and consistent also. Taste wise I felt it a bit stronger for me (beginner here) but the strong tobacco leaf aromas with touches of dark chocolate, nuts and coffee was gorgeous. It's the kind of cigar which goes excellent in the evening, after a hefty dinner, paired with a nice cognac. Expensive indeed - but then again how much should a perfectly built cigar cost? I'd repeat this each time I will afford. All in all - this stick made me think of maturity. Of being aware of ones potency in all aspects of the word. The kind of cigar you smoke after a hard battle (no matter if won or lost). The kind of cigar you spoil yourself with. Something to remind one of the little moments when life is worth enjoying. Just when I was about to think that cheap cigars are crap...I bumped into Casa Culinaria Connecticut Belicoso and I was simply blown away. So smooth. So fruity. So aromatic and creamy - I think it's the first fruity cigar I ever smoked. Absolutely gorgeous from start to finish. 70 minutes smoking time. I feel like it is the type of cigar one can smoke on a daily basis - and goes great with easy drinks like wine or a juice. All in all - reminded me of a particular spring day when I was walking with my kindergarten colleagues - smelling the blossomed trees. Tasting the air. Innocent. Not knowing what life would bring and wouldn't even care back then. I'll definitely give more kisses to this delightful Belicoso. I recommend it with all my heart. Oh wow what a surprise! About 180 minutes of awesomeness. Considering I've tried the Quisqueya MADURO Matador just some days ago and was not enchanted at all - this was so different. First things first: aromas for 4 Eur?! Amazing. Chocolate-coffe and a creamy feel in the "potent" smoke started to kick in after the first 20% of it and the aromas and creaminess only developed more as I was smoking it. Good amount of smoke, nice burn and a good construction. Started to open towards the very end, but it was already 3 hours since this bad boy was being devoured. Long story short: not Michelin star, but satisfying. Imagine you end up in a good quality doner shop and you order a huge plate. You get your hunger down, you are full and it was delicious but still at the end of the day it was a doner for 4 bucks. Peace and love!

Dull smoke. For the price there's nothing much to expect though. Good draw, good amount of smoke and a good construction. Quite impressive for such a cheap cigar BUT. The extreme peppery feel and dry smoke made me miss a rolled cigarette. Not sorry I have tried it as I'm a beginner hungry to try as much as possible, but will not repeat the experience. Conclusion: were you ever hungry but had nothing in your fridge nor the possibility to go out or order and you find a cheap can of sardines and you eat it with some improvised boiled pasta because you can t even find bread? Well that's exactly how this feels like. If your mouth burns for a smoke it s a smoke. Nothing more. Peace and love!

Just smoked it. Yes - good value for the money, but don't get too excited yet. Smoking time: 1 hour and 40 minutes. Tried hard to find any trace of a good aroma, but wasn't lucky. Tasted like those cheap cigars I was smoking occasionally to show off that I'm smoking a cigar when I was a kid. Now it's not horrible - but there is absolutely nothing special about it. Worth trying once, but would not repeat. After all - it was 4 Eur and that's how it tasted like. The decent/good part: well done, well rolled. Nice burn and consistent "taste" - got very spicy in the last part, which its not a bad thing after all. Conclusion: Dull, light smoke - I'd say fit for noon cigarette smokers, but lacking aromas. Now first things first I m a baby bubba when it comes to smoking cigars, BUT I've already tried about 20-30 brands and brothers and sisters Joya de Nicaragua Antonio CT is absolutely gorgeous for a beginner. The aroma is light, the smoke volume that fills my mouth is enough to tease me to wasn't more, but too light to make me say "ok I ve had enough". Smoking this one feels like being over teased by the light yet present aromas, but never allowed to "finish" - because even though this is not a small cigar, each time I smoked it I felt like I wanted more. All in all until now it is one of my favourites BUT a bit too expensive and definitely not something I can afford smoking on a daily basics although I wish I could. Peace and love!

Got this as a gift for my birthday. Bought from cigar world.de Reviewed most of them individually already. All in all a wonderful selection and a great introduction into the Joya De Nicaragua world. A great brand with lovely well made cigars. Tasty, light enough so even beginners can easily enjoy it. I have the feeling that it's cheaper to buy them individually, BUT the presentation is excellent. Nice wooden box and 4 A++ cigars make a perfect gift. Peace and love!

La Aurora Cameroon Robusto. Since I m a beginner - bought it by accident but was a pleasant surprise. Would I smoke it again? Absolutely. Many times? I wouldn't marry it for sure. What I liked about it was the feeling of consistency from the way it's made to the way it fills my mouth with just the right strength of smoke, aromas and spiciness. A bit of everything - but on the full, potent side of things. Could be cheaper, since it's nothing out of the ordinary and I've smoked cheaper ones with the same level of satisfaction. I'd say a good cigar for the plebs. For the people with flame in the chest. If I'd be a rich, bored with life and trying to hide my anxiety with benzos - I probably would go for something more... suave. Elegant. Easy on the tongue. - while this one is more of something that reminds one of the concrete jungle and everyday struggle. Peace and love!

Well, my friends, what can I say. Product discontinued. Should we worry? Not really. Let me tell you why. Smoked this beauty for about 90 minutes with zero rush. Went very well with two Godfather drinks in a hot, summer evening like we recently had allover Europe. Still - not a loss that it is discontinued. It looks badass but it is airy, which has its ups and downs. Production wise it was A class. Same with draw, burn and ash resistance. Not top of the pops but enough to have no complaints. Taste wise pretty interesting. Somehow reminded me of some Davidoffs which is not bad at all. A good light mixture of grass, toasted coffee and thick cream dominates the experience. And this is good. Maybe so good that the rest of the flavours simply had no room in this combination. Some wood and soil and old leather are also present and it feels like a part of it tried to be harder than it actually is. Hard to pinpoint this in words but somehow it felt like a pumped up badass looking dude who is nothing but a sweetheart inside and it would just be better for the whole world if he would embrace his genuine kindness. Because this could have been an outstanding stick IF.... but it it just a good smoke on the end. So we will not cry too hard that it has been discontinued. Off to the next one, folks. Peace and love!
