Humidor Short Dog

Interesting smoke. 7.2/10 though. Let me tell you why. First things first it lasted about 80 minutes and the burn was consistent, with a good ash collection. The not so good part is the construction. The wrapper was kind of going off in some places - although this did not affect the pleasure of smoking. Still - for an almost 10 Eur stick this is not acceptable. The taste is good though. Nothing to remember for long, but it does the job. Toast, coffee and wood are the most present and they blend well. All in all it felt like the first day in high school. Some cool people, but lots of unexpected and the slight unpleasant feeling that the holiday is over. Would I smoke it again? Not sure. Would I recommend it? If you afford trying stuff... it's worth a try yes. Peace and love.

Medium smoke. Duration 100 minutes more or less. Burns decent, tastes decent (chocolate, coffee, cream, soil, but of pepper) and decent construction. Really can't say anything out of the ordinary about this one. All in all it felt like the daily morning sandwich you buy on your way to work. Ok, but ...just ok. Will probably try others from this brand. Cannot recommend it or say don't smoke it either. Peace and love!

My first factory overrun. And for the price - got to say it was a decent smoke. Duration approx 70 minutes. Decent aroma mix, average burn, good construction, weak ash collection properties. Amount of smoke is not satisfactory, but the decent flavour compensates. All in all it feels like a good can of sardines when you are super hungry after 5 hours of hiking and there's nothing else available. Doing a fine job for the money. Will I smoke it again? Hopefully not. Would I recommend it? If you don't afford more - it is a decent stick for the coins. Peace and love!

The stick looks like a bum, but it behaves and tastes upper mid class for about 90 minutes. I was afraid of its construction, but was impressed by how well this cigar is built. A bit tough to light up, but then it burns like a charm. Amount of smoke is optimal and the draw easy. Not a light cigar, and the taste is somewhat Oscar Valladares specific - which means it's hard to describe but quite unique. For the price I'd say it's not the best option out there, but whenever you want to hold a creatively rolled stick in your hands and taste something... different, it works. All in all it reminded me of my getting high days - nothing productive or concrete, but definitely something out of the everyday. I wouldn't recommend this as the first 10 sticks you smoke, so not so much for beginners. Otherwise - at least a try for sure. Peace and love!

Finally a good one from VegaFina. Duration time approx 90 minutes. Very well built, good burn and nice ash collection. Aroma is smooth, easy to the senses, but enough to stimulate you. Creamy, fruity, coffees, soil. Nice blend. Amount of smoke could be much better, but not a big problem. All in all smoking this feels like a good scratch on the back when it itches. Definitely satisfying, but the itch persists a bit (lack of good amount of smoke) and finally you scratch it off and say "damn this was good". Would I smoke it again? Might do. Do I recommend it? Punchy smoke. A nice blend of strong flavours for the whole 90 mins of smoking time. Nice burn, built by the book, ash collection is decent and the smoke has the right amount of creaminess. Not the strongest, but it kicks with every puff - in a very good way. All in all it feels like someone screaming "Power to the people" and raising the fist on a rainy autumn morning, when some ignorant fat politician passes by some plebs with his Benz, splashing them without caring. A punchy smoke. To be tried at least once. Definitely not bad. Peace and love!

Amazing little beauty. Creamy, fruity, medium-light smoke. Smoking time approx 30-40 minutes. Very well built and goes perfectly with coffee or a drink. Nice and even burn. All in all this one is like your favourite accessory. Good quality - does the job - easy to take and enjoy anywhere you go. Full recommendation - especially for beginners. Peace and love!

A special occasion smoke for sure. This is my first Oliva cigar and although a bit pricy, it was a close to perfect smoke. Very well built, impeccable burn and ash collection. The amount of smoke is just right, and relighting was easy, with a constant uniform burn. I liked how they succeeded to mix the tobacco in a way that none of the aromas are too strong, yet neither is too weak. Soil, leather, coffee, pepper, chocolate and maybe nuts was the most clearly felt. All in all it felt like a car from the upper premium segment. You pay serious money for it, but the quality is not just for the eyes, but also for the other senses. Will I try it again? Will try other Olivas for sure. Do I recommend it? I'd say so - at least for one try. Peace and love!

An interesting mix of aromas in a very well made cigar. Duration: approx 110 minutes. Burns nice, the amount of smoke is perfect, the creaminess is just right, but the ash won't hold too long (which is not a problem). Mild strength and an array of aromas. Pepper is the strongest, but coffee, leather, grass, hay, forest mud - can all be felt either all at once or in different parts of the cigar. Goes great with a nice spirit drink. I'd recommend this one to beginners too. All in all - it feels like a nice meal cooked by your mother. It simply has everything you expect from a good smoke - but in a mellow, cosy way. Loved it. Will smoke it again for sure. Peace and love!

Hard to judge. Smoked it for about 150 minutes. Took my time with it. Satisfied the smoker in me, but can't say it was an indulgence or anything special. Starts nutty - grassy and continues woods-toasty and ends in a full blown pepperish feel. Except the strong pepper taste at the end, the rest are barely noticeable, so not an aromatic delight. Then again not bad to smoke either. It's rather easy to smoke - won't kill your senses and the burning is decent. Amount of smoke pretty good and ash resistance more than decent too. All in all - felt like a weekend going out where nothing special happens but then again it's slightly better than just staying at home. Will I try it again? Maybe...why not. But not something to remember or to put it on any special lists. Decent price for the size though. Meh. Peace and love!

Oh wow what a great cigar! Definitely amongst may favourites now. A very mild cigar - perfect for beginners or for day to day smoke. Well built with an impressive wooden cover. The aromas are grassy -light pepper - and a vague fruity flavour. Creamy at some point and very pleasant to smoke. Great burn, nice ash formation and just enough amount of smoke to feel the beauty of it fully. I'd say it's definitely worth the price and for me this is one of the types I d always have in my humidor. Although big - it burns pretty fast - or maybe it was too good to put down to rest - total smoke duration was approx 90-100 minutes. All in all - made me feel like those days when everything I wear fits just well and makes me feel good. Or like a very good pair of Nike air max:) If you haven't tried it yet - go for it at least once. Peace and love!

Vega Fina, Vega Fina. You promised so much, but did so little. Smoking duration: 60 minutes. Very well done cigar. Perfect burning -. the right amount of smoke - the ash lasts pretty much before falling and the burn is steady and nice. Looks good and burns good BUT. The taste... come on Vega Fina. A very mild cigar, but unfortunately with very mild aromas too. Might be harsh if I say it's a dull cigar, but... besides the great construction...there's nothing interesting with it. Definitely a good cigar for beginners, but if you want some character to your smoke ... nope. All in all - it is like that friend you have that falls for you and promises you the moon and the stars and everything seems right about them but... for some reason... they are just not your type, so you say "no, thank you.". Dull smoke. For the price there's nothing much to expect though. Good draw, good amount of smoke and a good construction. Quite impressive for such a cheap cigar BUT. The extreme peppery feel and dry smoke made me miss a rolled cigarette. Not sorry I have tried it as I'm a beginner hungry to try as much as possible, but will not repeat the experience. Conclusion: were you ever hungry but had nothing in your fridge nor the possibility to go out or order and you find a cheap can of sardines and you eat it with some improvised boiled pasta because you can t even find bread? Well that's exactly how this feels like. If your mouth burns for a smoke it s a smoke. Nothing more. Peace and love!

Now first things first I m a baby bubba when it comes to smoking cigars, BUT I've already tried about 20-30 brands and brothers and sisters Joya de Nicaragua Antonio CT is absolutely gorgeous for a beginner. The aroma is light, the smoke volume that fills my mouth is enough to tease me to wasn't more, but too light to make me say "ok I ve had enough". Smoking this one feels like being over teased by the light yet present aromas, but never allowed to "finish" - because even though this is not a small cigar, each time I smoked it I felt like I wanted more. All in all until now it is one of my favourites BUT a bit too expensive and definitely not something I can afford smoking on a daily basics although I wish I could. Peace and love!
